Practical Liturgical and Pastoral Spanish (Levels 1 to 4)
Practical Liturgical and Pastoral Spanish (Levels 1 to 4) is a series of courses designed to equip clergy and laity with the linguistic and pastoral skills needed to support migrants and refugees. Conducted via Zoom, each level consists of 6 interactive 90-minute sessions.
As many parishes and communities are already working with these vulnerable populations on humanitarian and pastoral grounds, this course will expand the capacity and spirituality of those involved, or those wishing to get involved. By progressing through the levels, participants will enhance their ability to contribute to the integral human liberation and development of migrants and refugees, helping to address the various existential uncertainties they face.

Diaconate Formation Programme
The Diaconate Formation Programme is a comprehensive four-year programme designed to provide spiritual, intellectual, human, and pastoral formation for individuals aspiring to become permanent deacons in the Archdiocese of Port-of-Spain. Launched in January 2019, the academic component follows a hybrid approach, with some courses facilitated by the University of Dayton through the VLCFF platform, and others delivered by CREDI via Zoom. This blended format ensures a dynamic and flexible learning experience for all participants.

Curia Formation
At CREDI, we are committed to fostering spiritual growth and formation for the staff and volunteers of the Commissions, Departments, and Companies within the Archdiocese of Port of Spain. Through ongoing formation programs, we help participants integrate faith into their daily lives and service, promoting cohesion, collaboration, and unity in alignment with the mission of the Archdiocese and Synodal priorities.
In October 2023, under the directives of Archbishop Charles Jason Gordon, Fr. Matthew Ragbir introduced the monthly in-person Curia Formation Sessions, held every 2nd Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the Atrium of the Belmont Pastoral Campus. These sessions have become a rhythm of life for the Curia, offering a space for spiritual reflection, leadership formation, and shared discernment.
Key themes explored include Servant Leadership, Co-Responsibility, and the distinction between Ministry and Job, drawn from Archbishop Gordon’s Pastoral Letter, “Called to Serve.” Other topics include spiritual discernment, recognizing God’s presence, and collaborative leadership.
Through CREDI’s formation initiatives, we continue to equip, inspire, and support those who serve, ensuring faith remains central to their mission.
Join us in growing together in faith, unity, and purpose.
